University and Beyond
In addition to freelance work, I did a fair amount of communications for faculty and staff at NC State. Quite different than the marketing for student-centered materials, this audience preferred and expected printed pieces to keep for reference, and I was also responsible for ensuring all information duplicated on our website for ease of updating and revising.
For these brochures, reports and guideline pieces, I made it a priority to follow the institutional brand more closely in voice, tone, and feel. Close editing was often needed to ensure that information was not published with expired resources, or naming contacts which had left the university, thereby making pieces outdated before the intended revision cycle.
