Experience
Assistant Director of Communications [8/2012 – present]
As assistant director of communications, I am a proactive problem solver, who communicates clearly and approaches every challenge with a self-starting work ethic. I routinely use best-practice project management systems to enhance collaboration, manage assets, and maintain visibility of project workflows and timelines. I am up to date with industry developments, innovation, and tools, and routinely present new methods and approaches to my colleagues across the department to facilitate the efficient deployment of diversity and equity marketing initiatives across campus.
Interim Director of Communications [3/2022 – 2/2023]
This role was performed in addition to my Assistant Director position during the year-long search for a Director. As interim director of communications, I worked to ensure that marketing and communications efforts were grounded in a lens of diversity, equity and inclusion for all of those who sought our services and programs.
Freelance Design and Consulting / Jacqueline Perry Designs [2001 – Present]
Since 2001, I have offered consultant services to small businesses and agency clients seeking corporate branding, marketing campaigns and annual reports. Projects include work with various local businesses, Wake Forest University, North Carolina State University, North Carolina Central University, the N.C. Department of Juvenile Justice, Communities In Schools of North Carolina, the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, and the N.C. Division of Public Health.

With a long history of working in tech-based companies and over ten years working in education with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion, I am interested in joining a team where the creatives mingle with the technical side, where ideas are shared up and down the organizational chart, and where there is a good mix of new challenges and big wins for a team of like-minded professionals.
